Elements +10 jurors welcomed Lodovica Comello at Giffoni Film Festival with banners, gifts and a surprise, a special version of ‘Singing in the car’ with games and karaoke. The artist, known by her little fans thanks to Disney Channel series Violetta, was touched by such a sincere and intense welcome. Many jurors asked her if she had ever felt afraid of pursuing her dream:

“I have never had second thoughts – said Comello – and I suggest you doing the same: never give up and always follow your dreams. Should one door shut, another will open. After the end of Violetta, I was unsure about my future but then I was called for Italia’s Got Talents, that opened the path to new and unexpected opportunities. That was my ‘magic moment’, just like this year’s Giffoni theme”.

As for those asking her what her happy place is, she answered with confidence: “It’s my parents’ home, in the province of Udine. However, Francesca – the character I play in Violetta – will always have a special place in my heart too, as it gave me an amazing 4-year experience. At the beginning, it took me one week to calm down, but then I learnt Spanish in two months and everything went in the right direction”. She also revealed she has loved music since she was little: “I decided to become a singer when I was 6 years old but at the beginning I wavered between becoming a vet or an ethologist, the person who studies animal behaviour in their natural habitat”.
