Folcast (stage name Daniele Folcarelli) is a Roman singer-songwriter born in 1992.

He grew up in a family of musicians, devouring all kinds of music. He began playing piano, bass and drums as a self-taught musician, and then chose the guitar as his life partner, which he studied until he graduated from the Licinio Refice conservatory in Frosinone.

He founded his artistic project in 2015 on the basis of energy and groove, creating a mixture of various genres: funk, R&B, soul, blues, pop and rock, with hints of rap.

The same year he releases his self-titled debut EP, followed in 2017 by the first album "Quess" and in the following two years by the singles "Narcolessia" and "Cafu".

At the beginning of 2020 he began to work on his second album, produced by Tommaso Colliva.

In the summer he was the opening act for Daniele Silvestri's live show at the Suoni di Marca Festival.

On December of the same year, he was one of the six winners of Sanremo Giovani and gained access to the 71st edition of the Sanremo Festival in the Nuove Proposte category.

"Scopriti", the song that Folcast has taken to the Ariston stage, was written and composed by himself. Tommaso Colliva (winner of a Grammy for his work with Muse and producer of numerous artists, including Diodato and Ghemon), who also handled the artistic production, and Raffaele Scogna, collaborated on the composition. The arrangements of the strings are by Rodrigo D'Erasmo.
