Biography

Born in Genova in 1960, Duccio Forzano started his career in 1996 thanks to Claudio Baglioni, for whom he directed the music video of "Bolero". The partnership with the singer-songwriter soon brought him to direct the TV releases of his concerts. In the same year he made his debut on television as a filmmaker in the daily program "Verissimo" (Canale 5) and the following year he became a studio director, while in 1998 he collaborated with Michele Santoro to his program, "Circus". From 1998 to 2000, he directed "Il trucco c’è" on Rete 4 with Rita Dalla Chiesa and Diego Dalla Palma. He debuted on Rai Uno in 2000, with the show hosted by Giorgio Panariello, "Torno sabato", followed by "Assassine", with Cinzia Tani, "Ultimo Valzer" and "Serenate" (Rai Due) by Fabio Fazio. With Rai, he also signed specials on Modugno, Battisti, De André and Gaber.

In Canale 5, in 2001, he directed theatrical evenings with "Cavalli Marci" and then "Italiani" with Paolo Bonolis. From that moment on, it was an ever growing success between public and private TV. Duccio Forzano signed, indeed, the three editions of "Stasera pago io" with Fiorello, "Uno di noi", "Non facciamoci prendere dal panico" with Gianni Morandi, two evening shows with "Mettiamoci all’opera", hosted by Fabrizio Frizzi, while on Canale 5 he directed two editions of "Scherzi a parte". At the same time he worked on Sky TG24’s startup. Also active in theater, he directed the musical "Karol, la storia vera", "Squali" and "Questo piccolo grande amore (QPGA)". In 2005, he worked in the Rai Tre program "Che tempo che fa" with Fabio Fazio, alternating also Mediaset productions, such as "Don Luca 3", "Ale e Franz sketch Show". He worked with Max Gazzè in 2013, on "I tuoi maledettissimi impegni", and filmed and produced for Ivano Fossati the "Decadancing tour"’s DVD and music video. He wrote and directed "Emergenza Veterinaria", a reality show dedicated to endangered animals produced by Ballandi Entertainment on Sky Uno. He designed and edited the staging of the original multimedia exhibition inspired by Alessandro Manzoni’s novel, "Promessi Sposi 2.0" at Palazzo Morando in Milan. For eleven years (from 2005 to 2016) he directed "Che tempo che fa" (Rai Tre), while in 2015 he marked his visual imprint on "diMartedì" on La7 and "Il Gioco del mondo" for Swiss television, also directing "Io leggo" on Rai3 on the World Book Day. He worked on the concerts of the Capitani Coraggiosi, Claudio Baglioni and Gianni Morandi, at the Foro Italico, signing the direction of their diary-storytelling and of a special presentation.

In 2016, he released on the web his first short film, "La traiettoria degli aquiloni", produced by PennyLane Production and Laser Capri.
