Biography

I Soldi Spicci is a comedy duo comprised of Claudio Casisa and Annandrea Vitrano. The two met at the Teatro Agricantus acting school in Palermo in 2012. After attending various theater workshops individually, they decide to pair up and start appearing together on their city's stages. In 2014, they make their theatrical debut with the show "Femmino e Maschia": the meeting point between two worlds, the masculine and feminine, in which the two protagonists dive into the theme man/woman to the point of exchanging roles and point of views. That same year, they make their TV debut. After being part of workshops such as "Zelig", I Soldi Spicci join the cast of "Colorado" ( Italia1), hosted by Diego Abatantuono and Chiara Francini, being part of 4 of the show's episodes. In the meantime, the duo continues its artistic journey by creating short video sketches, published on their Facebook page, "iSoldiSpicci", in which the deal with themes such as relationships, creating the popular catchphrase "vabbè, vabbè, vabbè".

They alternate their activity between the production of these videos and other succesfull content, they hit 1.2 million likes on their social media pages. In 2015, they debut a new theatre show, "Vietato ai maggiori", which enjoy a sold-out run at the Teatro Agricantus of Palermo and which talks about generational gaps, in which I Soldi Spicci use the weapon of their comedy to defend their generation. Summer of 2015 is an extremely successful time for the duo, thanks to a regional Tour ("iSoldiSpicci Summer Edition") comprised of 6 shows in the most well-known theatres and arenas, which all sold out well in advance. In 2016 they develop the show "Amore TrePuntoZero", a show blossomed from old and new collaboration, such as writers Bozzi&Montebelli, staff writers for Fiorello. The show centres around a couple which has just moved to study in a different city and their daily issues, nostalgia, future uncertainty, and their hopes and dreams. 2018 will see them busy with their debut film. A film written in collaboration with Marco Alessi and Salvo Rinaudo, produced by Cattleya and Alessandro Siani, and distributed by 01 Rai Cinema.
