GIFFONI 2017, “EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING” TO PREMIERE ON 21 JULY WITH NICK ROBINSON

The actor is set to introduce the film, based on Nicola Yoon's best seller. The film hits Italian theatres on September 21 thanks to Warner Bros. Pictures

Nick Robinson, the rising star of "Everything, Everything" will introduce the Italian premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures new romantic drama on Friday 21 July at the 47th Giffoni Film Festival (14 - 22 July 2017).

Directed by Stella Meghie and based on Nicola Yoon's best seller of the same name (Italian edition Sperling & Kupfer), "Everything, Everything” is a delicate and apparently impossible love story. Maddy (Amandla Stenberg) is a smart, curious and imaginative 18-year old who is unable to leave the protection of her hermetically-sealed environment within her house because of an illness. Her life changes when Olly (Nick Robinson) moves next door. They will end up forming a deep bond despite all the issues and risk everything to be together. The film is set to hit theatrical release in Italy on 21 September.

Jurors and Giffoners alike are thrilled for this double opportunity: enjoy the premiere of one of the most anticipated features of the coming Fall and learn more about the backstage of the film thanks to the presence its main character. Nick Robinson was the emerging talent of the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 for his performance in “The Kings of Summer”. Despite his young age, he has already built a phenomenal body of work with dynamic and complex roles which have garnered him great critical acclaim. From the 18 year old junkie in Rob Reiner's drama “Being Charlie”, to “Jurassic World” (2015), the fourth chapter of the “Jurassic Park” franchise, alongside Chris Pratt and Judy Greer.

Robinson earned great critical acclaim for his portrayal of Rowland Smith in HBO's hit series “Boardwalk Empire”, making him one of the rising stars of Hollywood. This success landed him a main role in ABC Family's, “Melissa and Joey” (2010). Amongst his other credits “The Fifth Wave” (2016), where he is on the run to save his life. He will soon be seen in “Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda” (currently in post-production) where he plays Simon Spier, a young gay teen coming to terms with his homosexuality. The film is based on a novel by Becky Albertalli and is directed by Greg Berlanti. Robinson is set to star alongside Jennifer Garner, Tony Hale and Katherine Langford.
