“The biggest challenge is defeating the opposition to progress and this is such a big deal. Every day we work in order to achieve this result". So said Minister for Education Stefania Giannini, guest at the Giffoni Film Festival. During the visit paid to the Dream Team talents, the Minister affirmed: "Even in my field, that is the field of innovation, it can be recorded the phenomenon of opposition to progress. Since 1971, the Giffoni Film Festival has been changing and evolving and it has become more than it originally was. This is a sign of progress”.
Minister Giannini, heartily welcomed by Generator +13 jurors in Sala Truffaut in the Cittadella del Cinema, didn’t forget to talk about the tragic current events concerning Turkey: “It’s a dramatic ominous situation – stated Minister Giannini – I believe that here in Italy we have all expressed our severe condemnation and extreme concern. We must keep watching on future events because, in case the right to free expression and opinion is betrayed, the situation will become very complex. Europe cannot stay silent”.
