Michaela Pavlatova
Born in Czech Republic. In 1987, after the degree at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, she began her career as a director of animated films. The short film ‘RECI, RECI, RECI/WORDS, WORDS, WORDS’ was an Oscar nominee in 1991 and received several awards all around the world. In the following years she has directed: REPETE (1995), THIS COULD BE ME (1995), FOREVER AND EVER (1998), GRAVEYARD (2001), TAILY TALES (2002), LAILA (2006), LE CARNAVAL DES ANIMAUX (2006) and CHILDREN OF NIGHT (2008). Currently she lectures in several art and animation schools (Prague, San Francisco, Harvard). TRAM is part of the ‘Sexpériences’ project.

È nata in Repubblica Ceca. Nel 1987, dopo la laurea presso l'Accademia di Arti, Architettura e Design di Praga, ha iniziato la sua carriera come regista di film d'animazione. Il cortometraggio RECI, RECI, RECI/WORDS, WORDS, WORDS è stato candidato all'Oscar nel 1991 e ha ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti in tutto il mondo. Negli anni successivi ha diretto: REPETE (1995), (1995), THIS COULD BE ME (1995), FOREVER AND EVER (1998), GRAVEYARD (2001), TAILY TALES (2002), LAILA (2006), LE CARNAVAL DES ANIMAUX (2006) e CHILDREN OF NIGHT (2008). Attualmente insegna in scuole d'arte e d’animazione (Praga, San Francisco, Harvard). TRAM fa parte del progetto 'Sexpériences ".
