ALFIE THE LITTLE WEREWOLF

Category: Edizione 2012

Synopsis
When the full moon rises on the night of his seventh birthday, little and innocent Alfie changes into a white and fluffy werewolf. When the light of the full moon hits, he jumps out the window of his little room, to be free. He runs through the park and the neighbour’s yard, chasing ducks and chickens. The next day he wakes up as a normal boy. His foster brother Timmie is the only to knows the truth and names him “Alfie the little Werewolf”. Alfie has no idea what is happening to him. He is afraid his parents won’t want him anymore when they find out who he really is. So he wants to keep his secret whatever it takes. But can he succeed? Will he be able to accept himself for who he is?

Sinossi

Director’s statement
As a father, I have always read the books of Paul van Loon to my two daughters. In the Netherlands, the character of Alfie the Little Werewolf is widely known and loved. He appeals to the imagination of very young children. The stories Paul van Loon tells are exciting – Alfie has a unique gift and has endearing little adventures. Great themes like “being different”, “the fear of not belonging”, “accepting who you are”, “brotherly love” and “revenge” give different layers to this beautiful story.
