Synopsis
Rome, May 6, 1938. The whole town is celebrating Hitler. Antonietta, a fascist wife and mother of six children, stays at home overwhelmed by her duties. Chasing a bird escaped from its cage, Antoinette meets a man who lives in the some building, Gabriele, a former radio announcer, homosexual, dismissed by the Radio with the accusation of being a "subversive". Initially Antonietta is suspicious of Gabriele, who seems, however, seeking a human touch. But soon the two, in the solitude of this special day, open their hearts and their tormented souls. In 2003 it was restored by the Philip Morris Cinema Project in collaboration with the Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Cineteca Nazionale.
