Synopsis

Alberto, head post office in a city in Brianza (Northern Italy), pushed by his wife Silvia, is ready to do anything to get the transfer to Milan, even to pretend to be invalid. But the trick doesn’t work. As punishment, Alberto is transferred to a city in Campania region (Southern Italy): a nightmare for a man coming from North. Full of prejudices, he leaves alone for what he considers the land of: Camorra, waste on the streets and lazy "southerners". To his surprise, he discovers instead a beautiful place, affectionate colleagues, friendly people. Moreover Alberto finds a new friend, the postman Matthias, helping him to win the heart of the beautiful Mary. But the problem is another: how to explain to Sylvia the new situation? Since he has left, their relationship has flourished, and in the eyes of friends from the North Alberto has become a hero ...

Sinossi

Alberto, responsabile dell'ufficio postale di una cittadina della Brianza, spinto della moglie Silvia, è pronto a tutto pur di ottenere il trasferimento a Milano, anche a fingersi invalido. Ma il trucco non funziona. Per punizione, Alberto viene trasferito in un paese della Campania: un incubo per uno del Nord. Pieno di pregiudizi, parte da solo per quella che ritiene la terra della camorra, dei rifiuti per le strade, dei “terroni” sfaticati. Con sua sorpresa, scopre invece un luogo incantevole, colleghi affettuosi, una popolazione ospitale e un nuovo amico, il postino Mattia, cui Alberto darà una mano per conquistare il cuore della bella Maria. Ma il problema è un altro: come dirlo a Silvia? Da quando è partito, il loro rapporto è rifiorito, e agli occhi degli amici del Nord Alberto è divenuto un eroe… Il film è il remake della commedia GIÙ AL NORD (BIENVENUE CHEZ LE CH’TIS) di Dany Boon.
