Biography

Bryan Lee Cranston (Los Angeles, 1956) is an American actor, dubber, director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his role as Hal in the comedy series “Malcolm” (2000-2006), and Walter White in the award-winning tv series “Breaking Bad” (2008-2013), which earned him four Emmy awards and a Golden Globe award.
Cranston also earned two Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Lyndon B. Johnson in the Broadway play “All the Way” in 2014, and “Network” in 2019.
In 2016 he got nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Dalton Trumbo in the biographic film “Trumbo”.
Among his other films, “That Thing You Do!” (1996, directed by T. Hanks), “Saving Private Ryan”, ( 1998, directed by S. Spielberg), “Illusion” (2004, directed by M.A. Goorjian), “Little Miss Sunshine” (2006, directed by J. Dayton and V. Faris), “Drive” (2011, directed by N.W. Refn), “Contagion” (2014, directed by G. Edwards), “The Upside” (2017 directed by N. Burger), “The One and Only Ivan” (2020, directed by T. Sharrock), which premiered at the 50th edition of Giffoni Film Festival.
