Biography

Andrea Pusateri (Monfalcone, August 8th, 1993) is an Italian para-cyclist and speedster. He does several sports until he gets to cyclism. Since 2008 he participates in every para-cyclism competition, achieving several victories and high scores on a global scale, among which ten Italian titles, five podiums in World Cup and other international achievements.
In 2013 he joins the Italian National team, and in 2014 he wins his first international competition in Schenkon, Switzerland.
On May 6th 2015, while training in the area of Como, he gets severely injured in a bike accident. Promptly aided, he is taken to the hospital of Varese by helicopter. He gets two bruises and other several wounds, he remains in a medically induced coma for seven days. Three months later he wins his first gold medal in the World Cup at Maniago.
