Biography

Pierluigi Pardo (Rome, March 4th, 1974) is a journalist, TV presenter and Italian TV sports announcer.
He is from the district of Trieste in Rome. In 1999 he graduated in Economics at Sapienza University in Rome. He worked for Piccolo Gruppo by Michele Plastino (a journalism and communication laboratory that trained journalists as Sandro Piccinini, Massimo Marianella and Fabio Caressa). Between 1999 and 2001 he worked as Marketing Assistant Brand Manager for Procter & Gamble, and also for the radio.
Since 2001 he has worked as a football commentator for Stream. He commented on the main football matches of the Serie A football championship, as well as some Premier League football matches. In 2006, on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup in Germany he commented on all the football matches played by the English national team.
He hosted, together with Stefano De Grandis, the programme “Extreme Dodgeball” on GTX and “American Gladiators”, together with the showgirl Thais Souza Wiggers. He replaced Fabio Caressa many times, hosting the programme “Mondo Gol” broadcast on Sky Sport. On November 19th 2008 “Dico Tutto” was distributed, the biography of the footballer Antonio Cassano, written together with Pardo.
Since 2008 (and until 2014) he has been the Italian football commentator for “Pro Evolution Soccer”, together with José Altafini (2009-2010-2011) and Luca Marchegiani (2012-2013-2014).
On July 26th, 2010, he started working for Mediaset Premium during the sports season 2010-2011 together with his colleague Marco Foroni. From 2010 to 2012 he presented the TV programme "Premium Football Club" on Premium Calcio, broadcast on Monday evenings. In January 2011 he presented the annual edition of “Oscar del Calcio”.
In season 2012-2013 he hosted “11”, a football tv programme, broadcast on Monday evening on Italia2. He is one of the most popular commentators of A series games, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League on Mediaset, besides working as a reporter for Cesare Prandelli’ National team.
Since September 16th 2013 he has presented "Tiki Taka - Il calcio è il nostro gioco", broadcast on late evenings on Italia 1. Since February 2016 he has presented “Maggioranza assoluta” on Italia 1 as well.
Since October 23rd 2015 he has worked as commentator for the sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport, in the column "Tiki...PediA".
Since 2017 he has presented the show “Mangia come parli”, on Radio24, together with the chef Davide Oldani.
On September 2nd, 2018 he debuted on Canale 5, with Giorgia Rossi, Elena Tambini and the comedian Andrea Pucci, hosting “Pressing”, historic football programme hosted by Raimondo Vianello during the ‘90s on Italia 1. Since September 17th 2019 he has commented on Champions League games broadcast on Canale5.
