Dvorit Shargal studied in two filming schools (Beith-Zvi, Tel-Aviv University). She is a journalist who formerly worked in Hadashot, Yedioth-Ahronot local edition, Maariv, National Geographic and more. She was an editor, a writer and a film critic. From 2006-2015 she wrote a media criticism blog, Velvet Underground. In 2012 the blog won the media criticism award of Israel’s Media Watch. In 2009 Dvorit participated with a short movie DOWN UNDER TEL AVIV in Doc-Challenge project. From 2010 she developed independent documentary projects. She completed a trilogy which includes: WHERE IS ELLE-KARI AND WHAT HAPPENED TO NORIKO-SAN, AFRICA!, WHERE IS LILIBET THE CIRCUS CHILD AND WHAT HAPPENED IN HONOLULU?

She also made a short film: A SHOT IN THE BACK. Now she is working on two new films: MURDER ON THE SUBMARINE and SCHIZO.
