Biography

Graduated in modern literature, Flavio Natalia has been working at Sky since 2004. Until January 2016, he was Director of Sky Product Communication. In February 2016, he became Head of news for the entertainment department of Sky Tg24. He is also Executive Editor of Sky Magazine unit, which publishes the monthly magazine SkyLife (500,000 paid copies) and the digital evening newspaper Sky Evening News (2 million subscribers, 360,000 openings per issue). From 2001 to 2004, he was Head of the Mediaset Press Office for Central and Southern Italy, with increasing responsibility for institutional and product communication initiatives, and Head of Communications for Italia 1, Area Sport and Area News at Mediaset. 

He started his journalistic career as a television and radio writer for Rai (he was responsible for news, in-depth analysis, prime-time variety shows, entertainment, live reports, daily and prime-time quiz shows and cultural programmes). He worked for a long time at the Italian news agency ANSA in the entertainment, TV, culture and media department, first as a regular editor and then as a correspondent. A professional journalist since 1993, he won the 2013 Ischia Award as "communicator of the year" and the 2001 City of Sanremo Journalism Award for his reports on the Festival. He has been teaching Communication at the University of Savona for four years and, from 2001 to 2007, he held a course on Television Communication at the Postgraduate School of the Faculty of Education Science at the University of Bari. He lectures at the Università Cattolica in Milan.
