Biography

Noemi, born Veronica Scopelliti, is an artist with an unmistakable voice, able to compete with pop, soul, R'n'B and blues. In a career spanning more than 10 years, she has performed songs by leading Italian composers such as Vasco Rossi, Gaetano Curreri, Ivano Fossati, Giuliano Sangiorgi, Fabrizio Moro, Federico Zampaglione and Tommaso Paradiso.

After graduating with honours in Film and Television Criticism, she took part in the second edition of X Factor in 2009, where she stood out for her gritty and biting voice. Her single Briciole topped the radio airplay charts and won her a golden disc. Sulla mia pelle, her first album of unreleased tracks, was released and immediately reached the top of the FIMI charts. In 2010 she took part in the 60th edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song Per tutta la vita. The song went platinum and won the Sanremo Hit Award Download. She releases the re-edition Sulla mia pelle (Deluxe Edition), which goes double platinum. Then, she wins 3 Wind Music Awards platinum, for the sales of the album Sulla mia pelle, for the song Per tutta la vita and for L'amore si odia.

In 2011, the album RossoNoemi is released: nine new tracks, including Vuoto a perdere, already platinum, written for Noemi by Vasco Rossi and Gaetano Curreri. Noemi was nominated for the OGAE Video Contest 2011 for the screenplay of the video clip, of which she was the author, for the song Odio tutti i cantanti. She opens Vasco Rossi's concerts in the Vasco Live Kom 2011. She wins the multi-platinum Wind Music Award for the album "Sulla mia pelle". She released the single "Poi inventi il mondo", written by Federico Zampaglione, and wrote and co-directed the video clip. She received three awards at the Premio Roma Videoclip: for the music video of Vuoto a perdere, for the one of Poi inventi il mondo and a special award as artist of the year.

In 2012 she took part in the 62nd edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song Sono solo parole, written by Fabrizio Moro and arranged by Corrado Rustici, finishing in third place and being certified platinum. Noemi is the screenwriter and co-director of the videoclip. The re-release RossoNoemi - 2012 Edition was released and the album was certified platinum. On the 5th of September, the Pixar film Ribelle - The Brave was released, for which Noemi recorded the Italian version of two tracks of the soundtrack, composed by Patrick Doyle, dubbing the protagonist in the singing part. 

In 2013 she participates as a coach in the first edition of The Voice of Italy.

In 2014 she participates in the 64th edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song "Bagnati dal sole", of which she is co-author of the lyrics and music, which is certified gold. On the 20th of February the album "Made in London" was released, which debuted at the top of the FIMIT charts. She returns as a coach for The Voice of Italy and in October her new single "Se tu fossi qui" is released, chosen as the soundtrack for the film "Ambo". In 2015 Noemi returned to the jury in the third edition of The Voice of Italy

In 2016 she participated in the 66th edition of the Sanremo Italian Song Festival in the Champions section with the song La borsa di una donna contained in the album Cuore d'Artista. The album boasts collaborations with, among others, Ivano Fossati and Giuliano Sangiorgi, while the artistic production was handled by Noemi together with Gaetano Curreri. During the summer she took part in the benefit concert against violence against women "Amiche in Arena" organised by Loredana Bertè and Fiorella Mannoia.

In 2018 she is among the Bigs competing at the 68th edition of the Sanremo Festival with the song Non smettere mai di cercarmi and releases her sixth album "La luna", which boasts some important collaborations, including with Francesco Tricarico, Tommaso Paradiso and Giuseppe Anastasi.

2019 celebrates her tenth year of career. On the 8th of February she returns to the Ariston stage, for the first time as a guest, to sing with Irama in the evening dedicated to duets. She was a judge in the second edition of Sanremo Young. In the same period, she signed the soundtrack of the film "Domani è un altro giorno" by Simone Spada, revisiting the song of the same name by Ornella Vanoni, for which she won the Baffoff Prize, the Special Ribbon at the 74th edition of the Nastri D'Argento and the Roma Videoclip Prize as female artist of the year. She won the Premio Lunezia for her latest album of unreleased songs "La luna".

In 2020, Noemi participates in the extraordinary edition of the annual Concerto del Primo Maggio, staged exclusively for live television, due to the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.  In September, she accompanies Alberto Angela through the beauties of Rome in the episode of Ulisse, il piacere della scoperta dedicated to the capital and interprets for this special occasion the traditional classic Vecchia Roma.

In 2021 she returned to the Sanremo Festival with the song Glicine, anticipating her new album Metamorfosi, released on the 5th of March. For the first time Noemi is involved in an autobiographical album where pop meets underground in a contemporary and credible way. The project was realised by working closely with the authors and producers she decided to work with: Dario Faini's Dorado Inc. team of producers, Muut, Andrea Rigonat, the authors Ginevra and Arashi, Franco 126, Neffa, Dario Faini, Federica Abbate, Francesco Fugazza, Roberto Casalino, Davide Simonetta, Marcello Grilli, Silvia Tofani, Tattroli and Daniele Magro. 

By the summer Glicine is certified Platinum. In the first week of June Noemi has launched on digital platforms and on the radio the new single Makumba, featuring Carl Brave, and announced the Metamorfosi Summer Tour in acoustic trio around Italy.
