In 2005, he designed and realised the sculptural plaque for the commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s death.

In 2019, he made his directorial debut with 19 Giorni di Massima Sicurezza (19 Days of Maximum Security), starring Luisa Ranieri.

In November 2015, the documentary film was first presented by the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm, then in Lisbon and Sofia. In the same year, De Camillis wrote the book Pier Paolo Pasolini IO SO... (Pier Paolo Pasolini I KNOW…), which was first presented at the Venice International Film Festival by journalist Laura Delli Colli and then presented together with the documentary film during the photographic exhibition Pasolini Io So… (Pasolini I Know…) at the Borges Cultural Centres in Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Rosario, in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Experimental Centre of Cinematography).
In 2018, De Camillis filmed the documentary Le Periferie di Roma dal dopoguerra a oggi (The suburbs of Rome from the post-war period to the present day), which was presented at the Trevi cinema thanks to the Experimental Cinematography Centre and with the attendance of Leo Gullotta, Pupi Avati and Ugo Gregoretti.

Since 2011, he has been the artistic director of “La Pellicola d'Oro”(The Golden Fim) award, a national prize he himself created to pay tribute to the trades and crafts of Italian cinema. Its aim is to highlight 14 jobs always appearing in the film credits that are not given much consideration and yet represent a crucial part of the Made in Italy brand.
