Biography

Born and raised in Argentina, Citterio began working on television in the late nineties, writing the screenplay for the television series "De corazón". This was followed by many soap operas for the main television networks of Argentina such as Telefe and Canal 13. A few years later, Citterio reached international notoriety by creating the soap opera "Amor en Custodia", while fame in Europe came thanks to the teen television series "Patito Feo", which aired for two seasons. Subsequently, Citterio wrote some screenplays directly for foreign television networks, such as the "Corazón Valiente" series. Citterio has written and dramatized more than 25 soap operas, and today she is the living author to write the largest number of soap operas. Citterio achieved a huge international success also with the teen series "Yo soy Franky" and "Chica vampiro".

This last soap opera achieved international success and on it is based an itinerant stage show. Citterio recently wrote the television series "Heidi, Bienvenida a casa", starring her daughter, Chiara Francia. Citterio is the screenwriter of several television series including "Patito Feo" (Argentina, 2007-2008); "Tengo todo excepto a ti" (México, 2008); "Consentidos" (Argentina, 2009-2010); "Salvador de mujeres" (Colombia/Venezuela, 2010); "Aurora" (United States, 2010-2011); "Corazón valiente" (United States, 2012); "Chica vampiro" (Colombia, 2013); "Reina de corazones" (United, 2014) and "Yo soy Franky" (Colombia 2015-2016).
