Biography

Matilda, actress and singer, at the age of 11 started to study music, violin and acoustic guitar and when she was only 13 she composed the lyrics and music of her first songs. At the end of 2014 Matilda was discovered by director Matteo Rovere who chose her as the protagonist of his film "Veloce come il vento", and with her performance she won the Nastro d'Argento, Premio Biraghi. In 2015, she returned to the set as the protagonist of the Italian version of the American show "Parenthood", entitled "Tutto può succedere", produced by Cattleya and broadcast on RaiUno. In 2016, she won the Flaiano award and the Attrice rivelazione dell'anno award at the TaorminaFilmFest, and the Roma Fiction Fest chose her as the patroness of the 10th edition.

At the beginning of 2017 she is nominated for the David di Donatello as best actress and best original song with "Seventeen", soundtrack of "Veloce come il vento", that she interpreted. Later we see her on the small screen with "Tutto può succedere 2" and in theaters with the film "Una famiglia" by Sebastiano Riso, presented at the 74th Venice Film Festival. Also for the big screen she stars in the films "Youtopia" by Berardo Carboni, "Il Premio" by Alessandro Gassman and "Vita spericolata" by Marco Ponti, opening in theaters on June 21. From June 18 we will see her on TV in the series "Tutto può succedere 3". In 2018 she was awarded as Shooting Star at the 68th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival.
