Biography

Alessandro Avataneo is an author, producer and film and theater director. A graduate in International Relations with a Masters in Storytelling, Performing Arts and Digital Entertainment, he has worked in more than thirty countries in Europe, United States and Japan, producing films, documentaries, musicals, television formats, video clips, art installations and virtual reality. He published the novel "Una storia delle colline" (2009) and, together with Vittorio Manganelli, the first "Atlante del Vino Italiano" (2015). Consultant of the Italian and Dutch governments on projects for the protection of tangible and intangible heritage, he has organized many events in UNESCO sites, the staging for the 2010 Architecture Biennial in Holland and the application file for the city of Maastricht as European Capital of Culture in 2018.
