LITTLE SPIROU

Category: Edition 2017

Synopsis
Like every hero, the intrepid Spirou was once a kid. And when you’re a kid, you have to obey your elders. Like his entire family before him, Little Spirou is destined to become a professional bellboy. So when his mom announces that he’ll be starting bellhop academy next year, Little Spirou decides, with the help of his friends, to make the most out of their last days together, and to confess his undying love to his sweetheart Suzette. To do this, Spirou and his buddies organize an extraordinary adventure that she will never forget! No doubt remains about why Little Spirou became a journalist adventurer when he grew up.

Nicolas Bary studied at the École supérieure de réalisation audiovisuelle (ESRA) but abandons studies for an internship on the shooting of Le Petit Poucet (2001). He directed some short films before directing his first feature film LES ENFANTS DE TIMPELBACH (2008), adaptation of the homonymous novel by Henry Winterfeld, that was screened at Giffoni Film Festival. In the same year he co-founded the production company, Les Partenaires. His second feature is THE SCAPEGOAT, adaptation of Daniel Pennac's novel. In parallel, he realizes advertisements and music clips. LITTLE SPIROU, an adaptation on the big screen of the famous comic book of Tome and Janry, is his third feature.
