THE UNICORN

Synopsis
One day, a little king was walking in the forest of his little kingdom when he spied an extraordinary creature, white as snow and fast as the wind. The little king orders the knight Littlefoot to bring him the creature, but he fails. The little queen however manages to bring the unicorn to the castle. The mythical beast, although well cared for, falls sick. What could make her better?

A graduate of the ENSAV La Cambre animated film workshop, in 2006 Rémi Durin together with three fellow graduates from the same school, set up L’Enclume Animation, an animation studio which makes short films, adverts, feature films, video clips, TV series. After his graduation films LÀ-HAUT, MADEMOISELLE CHLOÉ, and SÉQUENCE 01 PLAN 02, Rémi Durin made DE SI PRÈS (2009), a moving tribute to the 14-18 war, THE SCENT OF CARROTS (2014), an animated musical comedy, co-directed with Arnaud Demuynck, and THE UNICORN (2016) based on the kids book by Martine Bourre. Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Albert Jacquard CG school in Namur.

All films in competition are in the original language with Italian subtitles except for +3 and +6 sections that has a live over-sound). Entrance to Elements and Generator screenings is free (subject to available seats) priority will be given to jurors, press and accredited audience.
