Graphic designer, illustrator and animated film-maker, Pascale Hecquet has written six short films which have received many prizes at film festivals all over the world. A mother of two, Pascale is particularly interested in making films for young audiences. Her aim is both to make people laugh and to offer a light-hearted approach to some issues that are important for children, such as helping one another, solidarity, sharing and family values. THE GIANT CARROT, a film she made in 2013, is one of the short films in The Scent Of Carrots Programme which was released in French and Belgian cinemas in 2014 (almost 200 thousand tickets sold). THE RUNAWAY BISCUIT is one of the five short films presented in the programme Wake-up and Dream Again, planned for release in French and Belgian cinemas on October 2016. THE PENGUIN is her most recent short film.

All films in competition are in the original language with Italian subtitles except for +3 and +6 sections that has a live over-sound). Entrance to Elements and Generator screenings is free (subject to available seats) priority will be given to jurors, press and accredited audience.
