Aaron Dunleavy is a filmmaker from Blackburn in England. His debut short film, Throw Me to the Dogs, won 9 awards on the festival circuit, with praise from Academy award-winning director Danny Boyle, and was screened at some of the most prestigious BAFTA and Oscar® qualifying festivals in the world. Shot in his hometown with a completely local cast and a shoestring budget, his latest short, The Truants, was entirely improvised, childhood inspired and street casted with non-professional actors.
