Valerio Attanasio
Born in 1978, he began his career as an assistant director and then as director of the backstage of many films (among them: The Consequences OF LOVE, The Family Friend by Paolo Sorrentino). He was also script reader for Fandango production company from 2004 to 2008. In 2009 he was selected to attend the RAI-Script Training Course. In 2011 he co-wrote with Gianni Di Gregorio THE SALT OF LIFE, presented at the Berlin Film Festival in the Berlinale Special section and distributed in more than 20 countries. The film has also been nominated for a Silver Ribbon as best comedy of the year. In 2013 he wrote, along with Sydney Sibilia, the script I CAN QUIT WHENEVER I WANT: the film earned 12 nominations at the David di Donatello Awards, including those for Best Picture and Best Screenplay, and was nominated for a Silver Ribbon for Best Comedy of the year. Currently he is writing his first film as a director for the Wildside.
