Mariam Khatchvani
Mariam was born in Georgia in 1986. She studied film directing at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University. She has directed numerous short documentaries, including VERDZOBA (2006), BEYOND THE WINDOW (2007) and LICHANISHI AND KVIRIKOBA (2009). DINOLA, her first narrative short, has been screened at several film festivals. She was recently awarded funding by the Doha Film Institute for DEDE, her upcoming feature-length film.
