Ari Sandel
Born 1974, Los Angeles (USA). He studied Media Arts at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and Directing at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television. In 1999 he started his career, creating and hosting the TV segment THE TRAVELER for THE X SHOW. He wrote, directed and hosted the segment for two seasons. In 2005 he directed the short film WEST BANK STORY, which was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and won the 2007 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. In 2006 he shot the documentary feature film VINCE VAUGHN’S WILD WEST COMEDY SHOW, which was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. THE DUFF is his first fiction feature film.
