Sergio Basso

Born 1975, Milan (Italy). In 2006 he was assistant director and dialogue writer for Gianni Amelio on the feature film THE MISSING STAR (LA STELLA CHE NON C’È). He graduated in Directing from the Experimental Film Centre in Rome. He obtained a degree in Directing and Acting with Jurij Alschitz, under the auspices of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Moscow (GITIS). He worked in theatre with Pëtr Fomenko, Eimuntas Nekrošius, Peter Clough, Philippe Delaigue. He graduated in Asian Languages and Literature from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He was visiting lecturer in History of Eastern Art at the Sapienza University in Rome. He also collaborated with “Il Sole 24 ore”, Skira, the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Emilia Romagna, the University of Milan, the University of Oxford, the Maxxi Museum in Rome.
