Carlo Luglio

Born in Naples in 1967. Graduated in History of Cinema at DAMS, he has made two feature films (CAPO NORDandSOTTO LA STESSA LUNA) and four documentaries (PITTURA  A MANO ARMATA, IL CINEMA SALATO, CARDILLI ADDOLORATI, RADICI) that participated in several international festivals (Turin, Montreal, Valencia, Geneva, Annecy, Venice), obtaining different awards. Since 2007 he is a founding partner, with Gaetano Di Vaio, of Figli del Bronx Produzioni which develops fiction and documentary film projects with a focus on issues related to social exclusion, but also to the revaluation of film genres. He has written for the magazine's Filmmaker Magazine, and collaborated with the "Free University of Cinema" of San Cesareo. Since 2009 he has taught Theory and Method of Mass Media, Directing and Film History at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. For three years he has worked for the website of "Il Sole 24 Ore", directing the reports ZMAGRIA (about immigration) and NAPOLI DECADENCE, and the formats PARLAMENTO 24 e FOCUS 24. In 2010 he has published the book No arte, no parte - Viaggio nei media del terzo millennio.In 2014 he is responsible of the Mina workshop in Scampia for Sky Cinema Cult and directed  the short film CIAO MAMMA. He has now in preparation the film LADRIDICARDELLINI and documentaries MAGMA, SPANISH QUARTERS and SOUNDZ OF NAPLES.
