BROKEN HILL BLUES

Category: Edition 2014

Synopsis

In Kiruna, the northernmost town in Sweden, to the north of the Arctic Circle, a small community lives around a mine. While the mining industry is the throbbing heart and financial lifeline of the town, it’s also gradually destroying the city by burrowing and bombing under its surface. From the astonishing beauty of the cold winter to long green days of a Nordic summer, some teenagers, about to take the leap in the adulthood, fight with themselves and the world around them, learning to live, love and dream – while the city also is in a time of change, forced to move due to the explosions mining the ground.
