Kealan O’Rourke
Kealan O'Rourke is an award-winning Irish Director working in both Live-Action Film and Animation. Since graduating from the National Film School in Dublin he has secured an unprecedented six Irish Film Board awards for his short films: ROSEBUD, BEFORE SUNRISE, SILVER LINING, FLYBOY, FAIRYCATCHER and THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE. FAIRYCATCHER was awarded the Prix des Enfants de la Licorne at the Amiens International Film Festival and also received the Bram Stoker Film Academy Award. THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE narrated by Alan Rickman and the first Stereoscopic 3D film in Ireland, premiered to the public at the Galway Film Fleadh in 2011 and was awarded the James Horgan Award for Best Animation and also the prestigious Don Quijote Award for Best Short Film 2011. THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE was also named on the Annual Hollywood Viewfinders List 2011 and was awarded the IFTA Award for Best Animation 2012 and is currently being developed into a feature length project. In 2012 Kealan was also signed by Warner Bros to write and direct the feature animated film BOLIVAR.

Kealan O'Rourke è un pluripremiato regista irlandese che realizza film live-action e d’animazione. Dopo il diploma alla Scuola Nazionale di Cinema di Dublino ha collezionato ben sei premi dell’Irish Film Board per i suoi cortometraggi: ROSEBUD, BEFORE SUNRISE, SILVER LINING, FLYBOY, FAIRYCATCHER and THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE. FAIRYCATCHER ha vinto anche il Prix des Enfants de la Licorne al Film Festival Internazionale di Amiens e il Bram Stoker Film Academy Award. THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE - narrato da Alan Rickman e primo film 3D stereoscopico in Irlanda - è stato presentato in anteprima al Galway Film Fleadh nel 2011, ha ricevuto il Premio James Horgan per la migliore animazione e il prestigioso Premio Don Quijote per il Miglior Cortometraggio 2011.
