Synopsis
Vicky, 13 years old, her figure stuck between childhood and adolescence, secretly bears a heavy burden. When her mother discovers the nature of her troubles, Vicky takes an unsettling decision, in a desperate attempt to reclaim the childhood she has already lost.

 

Sinossi
Vicky, 13 anni, ancora in bilico tra infanzia e adolescenza, porta in segreto un pesante fardello. Quando la madre scopre la natura dei suoi problemi, Vicky prende una decisione sconvolgente, nel disperato tentativo di recuperare l'infanzia perduta.

Quebec City filmmaker Alexis Fortier Gauthier is the director of AFTER ALL (APRÈS TOUT), which won the Genie for Best Live Action Short Drama in 2008, as well as the award for Best Canadian Short Film and the Kodak Award for Best Cinematography in a Canadian Short at the 2007 CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival.  He is the graduate of many filmmaking programs in his native province, including the CEGEP François-Xavier Garneau, l’Université du Québec à Montréal, and l’Institut national de l’image et du son (INIS).  He is in the process of developing his first feature film with longtime collaborator Géraldine Charbonneau.

 

 

Alexis Fortier Gauthier
Alexis vive a Quebec City. Ha diretto AFTER ALL (APRÈS TOUT), che ha vinto il Premio Genie per il Miglior Corto Live Action nel 2008, il premio per il Miglior Cortometraggio Canadese e il Premio Kodak per la Migliore Fotografia al CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival 2007. Ha completato diversi programmi di formazione cinematografica nella sua provincia natale, frequentati presso il Collège François-Xavier Garneau, l'Università del Québec a Montréal, e l'Istituto Nazionale dell’Immagine e del Suono (INIS). Attualmente sta sviluppando il suo primo lungometraggio con la sua storica collaboratrice Géraldine Charbonneau.
