Synopsis
The Famous Five, George, Julian, Dick, Anne and their dog Timmy spend their first holidays together and plunge headlong into the adventure when they discover a dangerous plot while exploring an ancient smuggler’s cave: George’s father Quentin, a famous inventor, is to be kidnapped. The professor has set up a secret lab on Kirrin Island where he is researching a novel source of clever energy. But it seems someone is after his valuable research results. Neither the police nor George’s mother Fanny believe the kids. When Quentin fails to give the signals from the lighthouse they arranged with him one evening, the five friends take up the trail of the kidnappers to save Quentin. The clues lead them to two suspicious wildlife photographers and a mysterious tourist claiming to be a government agent. Finally the Famous Five find a secret tunnel under the sea uncovering a treacherous conspiracy.
Sinossi
I membri della banda dei cinque, George, Julian, Dick, Anne e il cane Timmy, passano per la prima volta le vacanze insieme, e si lanciano nell’avventura quando scoprono un losco intrigo in un vecchio covo di contrabbandieri: qualcuno vuole rapire il padre di George, Quentin, un affermato inventore. Quentin ha messo su un laboratorio segreto sull’isola di Kirrin, e sta mettendo a punto una nuova fonte di energia pulita. Ma qualcuno ha messo gli occhi sulle sue ricerche. Né la polizia né Fanny, la madre di George, danno ascolto ai ragazzi. Una sera, quando dal faro non arriva il segnale che Quentin ha convenuto con i ragazzi, i cinque amici si mettono sulle tracce dei rapitori per salvarlo. Gli indizi portano a due fotografi e a un misterioso turista che dice di essere un agente del governo. La banda dei cinque finisce per trovare un tunnel segreto sotto il mare, svelando un diabolico complotto.
