Frodo Kuipers
Frodo studied at the ABV in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and at KASK (Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten/Royal Academy of Fine Arts) Ghent in Belgium. He graduated with honours with the film ANTIPODEN. This film was selected at many festivals and received several awards. The film was also nominated for the selection for the Cartoon d’Or by the International Animation Film Festival in Brussels. Between May 2002 and February 2005 Frodo was a participant at the Netherlands Institute for Animation Film (NIAf). He finished two films at the NIAf: SHIPWRECKED and STREET. In March 2005 Frodo has started Studio Mosquito. Since then, he has worked as an animator, director, storyboardartist on several projects, and received a grant from the Dutch Film Fund to make a new independent short BRICKS, produced by Il Luster Productions. Furthermore, Frodo works as a musician and actor, and is an animation teacher at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

Frodo Kuipers

Frodo ha studiato alla ABV a Tilburg, Paesi Bassi, e al KASK (Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten/Accademia Reale di Belle Arti) di Gand in Belgio. Si è laureato con lode realizzando il film ANTIPODEN, selezionato e premiato in molti festival e candidato al Cartoon d'Or al Festival Internazionale del Film di Animazione di Bruxelles. Tra maggio 2002 e febbraio 2005 Frodo ha frequentato l'Istituto Olandese per il Cinema d’Animazione (NIAF). Ha terminato due film al NIAF: SHIPWRECKED e STREET. Nel marzo 2005 ha fondato lo Studio Mosquito. Da allora, ha lavorato come animatore, regista, storyboardartist su diversi progetti, e ha ricevuto un finanziamento dal Fondo Olandese per il Cinema per realizzare un nuovo cortometraggio indipendente BRICKS, prodotto da Il Luster. Inoltre, Frodo lavora come musicista e attore, ed è un insegnante di animazione all’Accademia Willem de Kooning di Rotterdam.
