Kassandra Wellendorf
Born 1965, Copenhagen. Film director and media artist with a B.A. in Film and Media Studies. Works in different genres and media – documentary, fiction, animation, interactivity and installation. Has produced films and video art since the end of the 1980s and participated in a large number of international festivals. She has exhibited video installations at the National Museum of Denmark, Kunstmuseum Magdeburg (DE), Skive Art Museum (DK) & Museum of Contemporary Art (DK) and has received several film awards. Kassandra Wellendorf's BIG WASH is an animated group of short films that mix slow motion and stop motion animation.

Nata nel 1965 a Copenaghen. Regista e artista multimediale, ha conseguito un dottorato in Studi Cinematografici e dei Media. Lavora su diversi generi e con diversi media (documentario, fiction, animazione, interattività e installazioni). Ha prodotto film e video-arte a partire dagli anni ‘80 e ha partecipato a un gran numero di festival internazionali. Ha esposto le sue installazioni video al Museo Nazionale di Danimarca, al Kunstmuseum di Magdeburgo (DE), allo Skive Art Museum (DK) e al Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Danimarca. Ha ricevuto numerosi premi. BIG WASH è una serie animata che mescola slow motion e animazione stop motion.
