Synopsis

The creators of the beloved TOY STORY films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favourite gang of toy characters. Woody and Buzz both have accepted the fact that their owner Andy will grow up, but they are worried about what will happen when that day will come. As Andy prepares to depart for college, Woody, Buzz and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. The toys in a kindergarten full untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these new toys. In this pandemonium, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken, and more than a few new faces appear, including a lederhosen-wearing thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants, and a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.

Born in 1967 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He spent his youth acting at the Cleveland Playhouse. He graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema/Television in 1991. Then he worked for TV as an editor and director. He has played a variety of key creative roles in nearly every animated feature film produced by Pixar Animation Studios since his arrival at the company in 1994. He initially worked as a film editor on TOY STORY (1995) and supervising film editor on A BUG’S LIFE (1998). He made his directing debut in 1999 as co-director of TOY STORY 2. Additionally he co-directed MONSTERS, INC. (2001) and FINDING NEMO (2003), which won Oscar for Best Animated Feature. He also contributed to CARS (2006) and RATATOUILLE (2007). In 2009 Unkrich and the Pixar team received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award at the 66th Venice Film Festival.
