Synopsis
In a summer camp young “Fetus”, a prematurely thoughtful boy of 10, struggles for status while confused by his first summer love. This seems to be the worst – or maybe the last - summer of his childhood: his friends (the Cabin B boys) feel betrayed by his love for a pretty girl with whom he doesn’t seem to stand many chances. At the same time all the boys in the camp are more and more interested in the world of adults, the world they can see from a distance, and exactly on the other side of the river where fascinating and mysterious parties of teens, off limits for the children are held regularly. Fetus tries to manage these new situations and he is deeply torn between his first love, Sundae and his obligations to the boys of Cabin B.
Sinossi
Durante un campo estivo, Fetus, un ragazzino di 10 anni precocemente riflessivo, lotta per affermare la sua identità, ma si sente molto confuso perché per la prima volta è innamorato. Questa sembra la peggiore estate – o forse l’ultima – della sua infanzia. I suoi amici (i ragazzi del Capanno B) si sentono traditi dal suo innamoramento, e tuttavia egli non sembra avere molte chance con la fanciulla in questione. Allo stesso tempo, tutti i ragazzi del campo sono sempre più interessati al mondo degli adulti, che vedono da lontano, anzi, per essere precisi, al di là del ruscello, nella parte riservata alle affascinanti e misteriose feste dei più grandi, vietate ai bambini. Fetus cerca di gestire questa nuova situazione, ma è combattuto tra il suo primo amore, la sua passione per il gelato e gli obblighi nei confronti dei ragazzi del Capanno B.
