Synopsis

Saverio is a primary school teacher. While travelling with janitor Mario, his brother in law, stops at a level-crossing that never opens. They look for a different road and, surprised by a rainstorm, spend the night in an old inn. The morning after they find themselves in 1492. They try to fit in this different age using the clothes and the language of the time. Then Saverio has a brilliant idea: they have to stop Columbus to discover America, the origin of all his troubles.
NOTHING LEFT TO DO BUT CRY is one of the most loved movie by Italians because the scene is completely shaken by two comic talents such as the genius Benigni and the unforgettable Massimo Troisi. They are a perfect comic couple that we would have loved to see together over and over.
