Synopsis
Twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace, along with their sister Mallory, move with their mother from New York to Spiderwick Estate, the home of uncle Arthur Spiderwick. Soon strange disappearances and accidents begin to happen and the family blames it all on Jared. The boy has to prove his innocence. He begins an investigation along with his brother and sister that will carry the three youngsters to discovers the fantastic secret truth of the Spiderwick estate.

Mark Waters
Born in 1964 in Ohio. Writer and director, he studied at Pennsylvania University. Then he moved to San Francisco where he obtained a degree from the American Film Institute in 1994. In 1997 he directed the film THE HOUSE OF YES presented at the Chicago and Sundance Film Festival. 2003 is a very successful year with FREAKY FRYDAY, a teen film in which mother and daughter (Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan) switch their role. The following year he directed once again Lindsay Lohan in MEAN GIRLS. And in 2005 he directed the romantic comedy JUST LIKE HEAVEN starring Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon. With THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES he jumps in the fantasy genre in 2008.
