Synopsis
Summer. Emma, 10, is glad to be back at her grandma’s farm. But this time something is different: Mr. Klipperbusch passed away, and his only heir, his nephew Albert, has big plans for his uncle’s estate. Emma is only concerned about Klipperbusch’s horse Mississippi. Albert wants to get rid of Missi, as Emma calls her, and finds a willing buyer in Emma’s grandma Dolly. In spite of mare’s reputation as a wilful animal, Emma is confident that she can gain the horse’s trust. But when Klipperbusch’s testament is opened, Albert is willing to pay a small fortune to buy back Missi. Emma finds out that Albert wants to build a huge supermarket on the property, which would mean the end of the town’s small shops. But Klipperbusch’s will stipulates that Albert can only inherit the property if he takes good care of Missi. Emma undertakes a campaign to save Missi and the local shopkeepers from Albert’s clutches.
