ELIAS AND THE ROYAL YACHT

Synopsis

Elias, a little rescue boat, started his career in the charming coastal village of Cozy Cove, where he encountered colourful characters like Trawler, who only cares about making money, The Singing Boathouses, who comment a capella on each day’s events, and the lighthouse Big Blinky, who's been around as long as anyone can remember – just to mention a few. Little Elias is on a secret mission to find The Royal Yacht. A tragedy struck the Royal Fleet when The Princess Boat vanished up north, and The Royal Yacht has not been himself ever since. But now he too has gone missing, and something must be done to find out what's going on.

Born in 1970. He has worked with animation since 1995 after being assistant on several film and TV projects. This is his debut as director of a full-length animation, but he has directed and co-written the 3D-animated series ELIAS, 26 episodes of 10 minutes. The series was Emmy nominated in 2006.

Born in 1979. She studied at Granum Art School and Westerdals School of Communication, section for art direction. She has directed and animated the short A NEWBORN NIGHTMARE (2004). She has been graphic designer for the TV-series ELIAS, for the feature films 37½ (2005, directed by V. Idsøe) and IZZAT (2005, directed by U.I. Rolfsen), before directing ELIAS AND THE ROYAL YACHT.
