Synopsis
Camilla, 14 years old, spends the summer holiday at the Argentario in Tuscany, with her family, as she does every year. The girl meets her girlfriends again and the various characters who crowd the lido, but this year there is a big news: a fascinating and mysterious 17 year old boy, named Adelmo. Adelmo is there to take care of the swimming pool.

Carlo Virzì
Carlo Virzì debuts as an actor in 1990 in the film CONDOMINIO by Felice Farina. Member of the music band Snaporaz, he has composed the music for some of the films directed by his brother, the film director Paolo Virzì. L’ESTATE DEL MIO PRIMO BACIO is the first feature film he has directed.
Director’s statement
“The character of Camilla is different to the characters often proposed by my brother Paolo. At the end we participate in her pains but Camilla is horrible and nerve-racking, while Paolo’s characters are there to hug. Perhaps Adelmo looks like one of Paolo’s characters. In fact it is the only character written by me with the supervision of Paolo. I transposed in Adelmo all my memories, all the memories of a teenager in Tuscany in the 80s. At that time I was a bit clumsy just like Adelmo”.
