Synopsis

Christmas is coming but for Ricky, a ten year old boy who attends the elementary school, is not going through a happy period. His parents are often fighting and his father, a workholic man, wants to leave the family. At school the students are preparing the Christmas show. A young man - who looks just like Ricky’s favourite superhero, Trashcrash – arrives at the school to direct the show. The young man tells the children the Christmas story in a new way and involves Ricky in the Christmas’s atmosphere. This way the boy will be able to help his parents find their harmony again.

Francesca Elia

Production and costume designer, writer and theatre director, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. She has worked for theatre and cinema, above all as costume designer. She has written several stories and three screenplays. She has also taught arts and costumes in different schools. In 2002 she directed the short film UN CASO PARTICOLARE (2002). TELL ME A STORY is her first feature film.

“Christmas is exclusively commercial nowadays. In our opinion it was interesting and necessary to tell of another way to live this festivity”.
