Roger Allers

Roger Allers developed TRON for Lisberger Studios in L.A., animated on Nelvana’s ROCK AND RULE in Toronto, and developed LITTLE NEMO for TMS in Tokyo, before his work with Disney. Since 1986 he has worked on a number of Disney successful projects in various capacities. He served as story supervisor on the Best Picture Academy Award nominated film BEAUTY AND THE BEAST; and worked as a story artist on the films THE LITTLE MERMAID, ALADDIN, RESCUERS DOWN UNDER, OLIVER & COMPANY, THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, and LILO AND STITCH. In 1994, Roger directed the Oscar-winning blockbuster, THE LION KING and adapted the screenplay of the film for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. He is currently directing his first all CG animated feature OPEN SEASON for Sony Pictures which will be released in September 2006.
