UNNA & NUUK

Category: Edition 2006

Synopsis

One day 11-year-old Unna feels a pain in her chest – she senses that her Grandfather is in danger. Unna calls him, saving his life. At the hospital grandfather reveals that the girl has shaman blood in her veins, so she has to find a cure for him. Unna has to take the shaman´s book and the magic drum at grandfather’s house. When she beats the drum three times, she is moved into the Finnish Stone Age! While she is looking for a cure in the woods, she meets Nuuk, a boy of her age, son of the tribe´s shaman. As they are trying to find a way to understand each other, they are kidnapped by the recently immigrated hammer axe people. When they escape from their captors, they trek towards Nuuk´s home village. During her adventure Unna will learn how to survive and will understand the value of friendship, peace and respect for people who are different from us.
