MILLIONS

Category: Edition 2005

Synopsis

Liverpool, seven days before Britain will convert to the Euro. When a big bag of pounds sterling literally falls from the sky into Damian and his older brother Anthony ‘s hands, there is one thing to do: spend the money as soon as possible. But a quarter of a million pounds is a lot of money for two kids to spend in a week! How do they can hope to do it? Damian, who has a wide-eyed innocence about life, is visited by saints, so he tries to persuade his more sceptical brother that they should donate the money to the poor.

Director’s statement

“On working with kids, you imagine you’re going to be highly interventionist, but the danger there is that you’re going to leave your fingerprints all over them. So you have to step back and relearn some of your skills”.
