Cherie Knott
She has lived and exhibited in Rome, Germany, Holland, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. Her oil paintings, bronze sculptures and poetry are in collections around the world. Highlights of her visual arts career include a solo exhibition at the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds and a commissioned mural for the Western Australian Performing Arts Centre. She has exhibited solo on a number of occasions, most recently using a critically acclaimed show to raise funds for the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra (New Zealand). Music is an integral theme to Cherie Knott’s work, and she uses live music and musicians to complement her exhibitions. In 2002 Cherie Knott began working in film art departments. Cherie is currently co-writing a feature film with Janine Burchett and preparing for a solo fine art exhibition in Wellington, New Zealand. GABRIEL is Cherie’s directorial debut.
