Synopsis

George is a 12 year old boy struggling towards manhood. He makes his name fighting bigger kids for money in the schoolyard. He also has to rescue his mother, an overworked waitress, from one mess after another at the diner where she works. But when he discovers a terrible secret about her, the only woman he trusts, it creates the first major crisis of his young life.

Daniel Nemet-Nejat

PITBULL marks Daniel Nemet-Nejat’s thesis for the completion of the master’s program at Columbia University’s Film Division. His previous short film BEING NEIGHBORLY, appeared in several film festivals. In 2001 his feature length script HOUDINI ON THE PIER received the Zaki Gordon Screenwriting Award. He is presently writing a feature length version of PITBULL and is adapting a World War II biography.
