Synopsis
Antonio Magarotto comes from a wealthy family of the early twentieth century and his would be a happy childhood if not destroyed by a serious accident, during which the child loses his hearing. The parents, resolved to give an education to the child in any case, send it to Siena in a specialized institute. In the school Antonio spends a childhood of iron discipline and hardships. After school Antonio returns home, where his stepfather proves to be hostile and forces him to flee soon. The young man decides to look for a job and begins a long journey of growth and awareness that will lead him to fight for the legal rights of the deaf-mutes, in Italy denied until 1966.
