Benjamin "Bob" Clark (New Orleans, 5 August 1939) is a screenwriter, film producer and American director, one of the greatest exponents of the B-movie.
Raised in Fort Lauderdale, he graduated in philosophy and played amateur football as a quarterback and managed to snatch a contract with the semi-professional Fort Lauderdale Black Knights. At the cinema he debuted writing, directing and interpreting the horror film The Siege of the Living Dead in 1972. He continued to wander in the genre with films like Black Christmas (1974), La morte dietro la porta (1972), Breaking Point (1976) and Assassination on commission (1979), who met alternate luck.
In the eighties he directed much lighter films such as Evening of Honor (1980, with Jack Lemmon and Kim Cattrall), Nick unleashed him with Sylvester Stallone in (1984), Turk 182 (1985) and Stunt (1987). However, it was the three controversial Porky's - These crazy crazy guys !, Porky's II - The day after and Porky's III - The revenge! which had the greatest success with the public, especially among the very young. In the nineties he turned the comedy Poliziotti two-legged and other minor films, preferring to focus on his figure as an author of subjects and screenplays. In the last years of his life he was often helped by his son Ariel, who also acted in one of his films.
